WHY IT MADE THE LIST
Why this tool stayed in my rotation.
I have a stronger opinion about this little saw than I probably should. It is the best keyhole saw I have used, and the reason is not complicated: the blade is strong, but it is also very narrow.
That combination changes how the saw behaves. Tight turns feel easier, plunge cuts are easier to start, and I can finish small drywall or ceiling-tile cuts without fighting a thick blade that wants to keep going straight.

What I actually use it for.
I use the Rockeater on drywall and ACT ceiling tile. On ceilings it is especially useful for the detailed cuts that come up around sprinkler heads, exit signs, high hats, and other penetrations.
Because the blade is narrow, I can steer the cut more easily than I can with many thicker keyhole saws. The finished cut tends to be neat, and the tool itself is light enough that I do not mind carrying it.
Why I like it.
The narrow blade is the whole story. A lot of keyhole saws feel thick and clumsy when the cut changes direction. This one lets me make tighter turns and makes plunge cutting much easier.
I also like that the blade still feels strong. I am not trading all the stiffness away just to get a thinner profile. That balance is why I have stayed with it for so long.
THE HONEST PART
What I do not like.
The first thing I do when I get one is remove the string that comes attached to it. For the way I work, the string just gets in the way. That is a tiny complaint, but it is also literally the first modification I make.
How long I have used it.
I have used this tool since the beginning of my career. I have had enough time with it, and enough chances to use other keyhole saws, that I know the narrow blade is not a novelty. It is the reason I keep coming back.
MY VERDICT
Would I recommend it?
I absolutely recommend it. It is inexpensive, light, and unusually good at the detailed cuts I care about. For drywall and ACT ceiling tile, this is the hand saw I want in my pouch.
