How to Use
Set up one repeatable activity
Activity Name: Identifies the work being timed, such as installing access doors.
Job / Location: An optional label to distinguish similar work on different jobs; it does not create a Project.
Unit: Names one finished item, such as an installation or frame. Each Finish tap initially counts one unit. Edit the completed quantity in the log if a cycle legitimately covered several items.
My Production: Counts one worker.
Crew Production: Uses the whole number of people working on the activity throughout this session. Two workers taking 15 minutes consume 30 labor-minutes.
Start a new session if crew size, activity, unit or movement settings change. Do not combine unrelated work just because it has a similar name.
Time the work with a few taps
Tap Start timing after entering your activity settings when work begins and Finish item when that cycle is complete. With movement tracking enabled, Finish immediately starts Between tasks; tap Start next item at the next installation. This interval can include walking, moving tools, repositioning a ladder and ordinary setup. It is not GPS tracking. Without movement tracking, Finish returns to Ready, and the time before your next Start is not recorded. Those results are labeled Work time only.
Pause excludes an interruption from production averages, whether you were working or moving. Resume returns to the previous activity. Locking your screen or hiding the browser does not pause the session. On reopening, elapsed time is reconstructed from timestamps. Review a forgotten timer and correct the durations in the log. End Session asks whether to count an unfinished installation; ending without counting preserves that time separately.
After ending a session, use Start another session to review the same activity settings and start a new record. Change any settings before starting. Your previous session stays available in Saved work.
Understand the results
Average Work Time per Unit: Divides work belonging to completed cycles by their total completed quantity.
Average Between-Task Interval: Divides included movement by the number of recorded intervals, not by completed quantity.
Each movement belongs to the following activity only when that activity finishes. Three installations may have only two included movement intervals.
Average Including Between-Task Time: Includes completed work and its associated movement.
Extrapolated Hourly Output: Uses the same completed work and associated movement time. This projects the recorded sample to one hour; a short sample does not establish a dependable hourly production rate.
Included Labor-Hours: Multiplies the completed work and associated movement time by the fixed worker count.
Labor-Hours per Unit: Divides the included labor-hours by completed quantity.
Pauses, unfinished work, trailing movement and removed cycles remain separately visible and are excluded. The recorded total reconciles these categories; an active interval is shown separately until recorded. Idle time with movement tracking off is not recorded.
The chart shows each cycle's time per unit and a running average weighted by completed quantity. Switch between work-only and movement-inclusive views. The latest cycle comparison excludes that cycle from the earlier average. A lower time is an observation, not an instruction to rush. Edits replace recorded durations; removing a cycle retains its time under removed activities so it does not disappear from the reconciliation.
Save, recover and export
Local recovery is specific to this device and browser and can be cleared. Storage failures are shown. An already-loaded tool continues during connection loss; first-time offline loading is not supported. Copy and CSV exports do not require an account. Exports identify the tool, units and time basis; CSV text is protected against spreadsheet formulas.
Log in to save records to your existing BidSimp dashboard and open them on another device. Importing local work requires your confirmation. Once saved to an account, completed entries and edits save to that same record. “Saved to account” means the server acknowledged it. Failed or waiting changes remain in local recovery when storage is available. A newer account version must be reopened before further edits; export your local recovery first if you need to preserve a conflicting change.
An active timer stays controlled by its original browser. Another browser can read it but cannot start or change it; end the session in the original browser first. One tab at a time edits a record. Login and logout never transfer another account's queued work. Saved records are private to their owner; these tools do not create employee accounts or share crew data.
Use the record as field evidence
Production reflects the conditions you observed. Short samples, difficult access, material handling, breaks, crew composition and differing scope can change a rate. Keep explanatory notes and compare like work. No observations are removed automatically, and a measured rate does not guarantee performance on the next bid. Work safely; this is not a speed competition.
